Elizabeth's Poetry Haven

a place of peace, love and freedom of expression

Introduction

Elizabeth A Feisst

I am a

YELLOW RESONANT STAR
I channel in order to beautify
Inspiring art
I seal the store of elegance
With the resonant tone of attunement
I am guided by the power of universal fire

Having found an apparent inherent talent in early 2005, poetry writing has become my creative outlet since then. I am ever so grateful for this.

I place here, for your enjoyment, my writings. As more will be continually added, feel free to  return when you wish for a peaceful space.

The quality of some of the earlier pieces is lacking perhaps, but I place them here for two reasons -

a) to show how quickly one can develop one's gift if open to doing so and

b) to hopefully encourage others who are a little hesitant, to give poetry writing a go.

I had never been devoted to poetry and at school the topic bored me, in fact. Even now, I have no yearning to read the works of the great ones. Living in the present moment,  I feel I am being asked to use my gift to share wisdom coming to me/through me, that is relevant to the present presence.

I would like to thank my many friends, who have been instrumental in getting me to go public with my work.   Thank you.

I hope you enjoy reading  the poetry here and are able to absorb the ambience of peace and love and light which pervades the words.

You may contact me at  unityinoneness@peacemail.com  Please kindly place "Poetry" in the subject line to identify the originating source. Thank you.

Clicking on the Navigation Bar on each page will take you to the various poetry topics.

About me

I was born in New Zealand in 1947.  In 1987 I moved to Australia where I lived for 16 years.

As a genealogist, my Manx ancestry held my interest for many years and this, along with the opportunity to travel, was instrumental in my moving to the Isle of Man in 2003.  Over the years I have written many articles on family history for  genealogy magazines world wide and wrote and published a family history in 1984. This is now on the internet at http://www.qualtrough.org .

I am now retired (as of November 2008), and am devoting all my time to my evolving spiritual journey and sharing my understandings through my poetry, blogs and sharings on various internet forums.

Words have always been a fascination to me and my interest in writing as a form of self expression developed from this. I write primarily spiritual/inspirational poetry as well as on general themes. My work includes several of Manx interest depicting the surrounding beauty of the country where I now chose to live. I have also written on Australian and New Zealand subjects.

Several of my poems are published on various websites around the world. and two pieces have been selected for publication in anthologies in the USA & Isle of Man. These anthologies were published in December 2005.  In November 2006 I published my first book of poems.  Called BEAUTIFULLY SIMPLE REALLY, it is a pot-pourri of poems on heart and soul, love and life, peace and spiritually.  Copies are available through the link "THE BOOK" at this site.

I am currently a member of the Isle of Man Poetry Society.

Love and light
