a place of peace, love and freedom of expression

More poetry of a spiritual nature, including love, but with less emphasis on God or Creation, etc.

WHERE BEAUTY GROWS

lotus5.jpg

In the murk, the filth of life
this is where the lotus grows
so let the chaos run its course
and from its murk the diamond glows

All is polished and perfected
pushed and pulled to simplify
released, surrendered, letting go
to see the new - to beautify

From broken heart does bloom the rose
of perfect love beyond all measure
a heart now purified of murk
to give to life such wondrous pleasure

Like the lotus and the rose
to God returned, such sweet release
through the murk we've come to see
such perfect love and joy and peace

PLAYING AT LIFE

In Spain it's "manana" *
In Manx "traa dy liooar"+
Today is what matters
Tomorrow there's more

Whatever the challenge
Life throws our way
Look on the bright side
See life as a play

Enjoy then the drama
And comedy too
The part you are playing
Was cast just for you

"This too shall pass"
The saying does go
Whatever is happening
Enjoy it then so

Things may be chaos
But within the mess
Order's there somewhere
So why do we stress

So live in the moment
And knowing the truth
Play life with a smile
And all will be smooth

*  manana is Spanish for tomorrow
+ traa dy liooar is Manx for time enough

HEARTBEAT

Heart beats softly
Rhythmic pulse
Flowing journey
Nothing false

Pure surrender
Trust supreme
Walking forward
T'ward the dream

Heaven's open
Gates are wide
Now's the time
To play outside

Back and forth
The swing doth go
Gentle rhythm
Heartbeat so

Journey onwards
Check the view
Magnifique
The yonder hue

Time for stillness
Listen so
Quiet surrender
Heartbeat glow

Life in balance
Slowly move
Swinging softly
In the groove

Heartbeat wonder
Flowing stream
Loving life
And live the dream

THE MAGIC OF LOVE

In the essence of time
It is now the clime
For love to prevail
So let's lift the veil
No longer division
Time for revision
The magic of love
The peace of the dove

Love is supreme
No longer a dream
Now manifesting
It's no longer resting
No colour or creed
Nor culture or breed
Can stop now the union
Nor the communion

The time it is now
Let's join in the flow
Of the magic of love
With joy from above
The presence of now
The joy for to know
Love is the answer
Nothing more fancier

Love with simplicity
And joyous complicity
No tags or conditions
Or expected renditions
The freedom of being
The truth is the seeing
The peace of the dove
And the magic of love

THE NIGHT GODDESS

The night goddess
Standing before thee
Nakedness of soul
Worshipping beauty
Honouring serenity
In awe of magic
Open to receive
Loving calmness
Your silvery sheen
Creating shadows
A mystical hue
Of indigo blue
Reflecting  beauty
The sacred feminine
Moon worshipping
Seeing a reflection
Smiling gently back
In adoration of soul
Supremely, naturally
The night goddess

THE SYMPHONY OF LIFE

The audience settled
The orchestra tuned
The conductor's baton raised
All ready for the music..

In harmony they played
The symphony harmonically
Toned to beauty and flowing
Rhythmically; joyfully the flute
Fluted, the violins violined,
The timpani timpanied,
The percussion percussioned
The beauty, the passion, the joy
All flowing together in harmony
Music symphonied for ears
And eyes and feelings tuned

Life, it said....this is life
All together in harmony
Unison yet playing
An individual tune
Conductor's baton raised
All ready for the music

THE FATHER

The father of us all

Deserves reverence of time

He has worked of his best

In a paternal clime

In doing this he has

Lost respect for his place

The mother is the focus

It's time for the space

Where honour is given

To each equally

A time of respect

For each a for dignity

Mother's Day comes

Flowers and honour

Father's Day comes

No more than a spanner

A paradox perhaps

In this spiritual realm

It's time for each one

To be equal at the helm

Reverence and devotion

The Father and Mother

Become equal partners

Beside each other

Mother Earth, Father Sky

The Moon and the Sun

Each has a place

Their value is done

So let us all now

For the Father rejoice

And honour his place

With an equal voice.

LIGHTENING UP

The time is now to lighten up
Become a ray of light
A sparkling, joyful bird on wing
In currents of great height
The star it shines so brightly
Sparkling in the sky
It knows itself as beautiful
So shows itself on high
It sparkles like a diamond
Shining through and through
There's such a fond attraction
For all, yes, me and you
We love the twinkling of the night
As children of the dark
The joy and magic wonderful
The singing of the lark
In daytime too the sun it shines
Its rays on sparkling sea
The sea it doth become a light
Of magic full of glee
And children sparkle when they see
A candle flame alight
The smiles on their faces give
A heart of warm delight
Their eyes are wide and open
Expectant, jubilant
The innocence on faces young
Sparkling  magnificence
So fill your life with sparkling times
Of laughter, joy and gladness
Like the star, the glistening sea
No more succumb to sadness
For life it is a diamond
Sparkling on a ring
Or on a chain around the neck
The heart begins to sing
A big, broad smile, a gorgeous chuckle
Lightens up the day
And laughter is the medicine
For keeping ills at bay
So lighten up my friends so dear
The heart will surely show
In sparkling light so like the sun
Instead a magic glow
