Poetry of a spiritual nature, including love, but with less emphasis on God or Creation, etc.
DANCING IN THE LIGHT
Dancing,, dancing in the light
Makes one's life so shiny bright
Hearts expanded, love gold-banded
Shades of magic in the night
Dancing, dancing in the light
Heavenly music of such might
As Bach or Chopin, Mozart too
Waltzing to the Strauss in sight
Dancing, dancing in the light
Rising to the magic height
Topping Everest with our steps
The rising sun is sparkling bright
Dancing, dancing in the light
Let us do this day and night
Always being light and free
On the rainbow healing light
Depth of wonder burning bright
Shades of magic in the night
Taking one beyond the limit
Dancing, dancing in the light

THE SUNNY HEART

The heart it smiles just like the sun
It jumps for joy when having fun
With much delight it shares around
All its love it gives profound
The sunny heart is so much pleasure
To be around in times of leisure
Yet also too it seems to soothe
And life is lived completely smooth
Radiant heart of golden peace
Surrounding all it gives release
From all the trials that life extends
The peaceful heart doth make amends
The smiling heart it seems to say
Come peacefully with me and play
At life and let the soul renew
The beauty perfectly to view
A golden heart is ever light
The countenance so ever bright
The smiling heart it seems to say
My joy you see, this is the way

MOVING MOUNTAINS
Like the ant commumity
We're being encouraged
To work together
Co-operatively, patiently
Moving forward
Shifting mountains
As a team in harmony
We, the race of humans
Are, like the ants
Coming together more
And more, in harmony
Love and peace to be
The change in order
That the change becomes
Manifest in form more
And more, moment
By moment; as the ants
Teach through example
Let us too share more as
The ant community
Patiently, co-operatively
In communion, as one
Moving mountains

GRACE IS HER NAME
Grace is her name
Grace is her game
Grace in the heart
Her quality in frame
Grace for to be
Grace for to see
Grace is the beauty
Sharing the glee
Grace is serene
Grace never mean
Grace is so calm
A wondrous gleam
Grace be the aim
Grace joy proclaims
Grace from above
Forever remains
Grace.... you're beautiful

PURITY OF HEART & MIND
Purity of heart and mind
Worthy aim within to find
Observing carefully what is thought
Feelings to in time be caught
A thought creating future life
Best be one not causing strife
Feelings also best to be
One's of love and harmony
The pure heart is full of grace
A loving, kindly, gentle space
A mind that's clear will ever see
The truth as it should really be
Mind as one creates with ease
Living life becomes a breeze
Adding then a heart of love
And so within is as above
Vesting in this pure aim
Becomes a joy for all to claim
A pure heart, a pure mind
Pending future peaceful kind
Pure intent to gratify
End result will testify
Purity of heart and mind
Worthy aim within to find

EMBRACING THE GOOD
Embracing the good
Let go of the rest
This now has become
The challenging test
The time is now ripe
The mind to renew
For in not doing so
Will see truth askew
The image of God
We are so it seems
The god of us all
The god of our dreams
This image is real
Its time for to be
Manifested as form
The truth for to see
If God equals good
Then why do we wander
We are all there is
No more time to squander
The good is divine
This image is ours
Lets claim for to be
The magic it flowers
Embracing the good
Let go of the rest
This now has become
The challenging test

RESPECT
What is respect
But walking the talk
For talking the walk
Is no more than squawk
We seem to demand
Of others to be
As we would expect them
And like them to be
Yet unless we are like
That which we command
'Tis no more than falseness
So no more demand
Respect it is earned
By example not talk
As others they see us
Walking our walk
So rather than talking
Let's get on with being
The respect then is earned
The result in the seeing
So what is respect
But walking the talk
For talking the walk
Is no more than squawk.

THINK, FEEL, SEE, LISTEN
The Good Book doth say
That to be transformed
Renewing the mind
Will see one reformed
Think with the heart
Feel with the mind
Reversing the process
The new one will find
See with the ears
Listen with eyes
Again the reverse
Result: real-eyes
Realisation and
Understanding too
Along with this choice
There comes a new view
Thinking and feeling
Listening and seeing
Transform through revision
It's the practice of being

JUDGE NOT
Judge not your fellow
Man's condition
Until you've been
In his position
For if you do then
Come what may
In his position
You'll find your way
Judge not your fellow
Man's condition
Until you've been
In his position
'Tis only then
You can by reason
Of experience say
No more the season
Observe and learn
Is more the mode
By far the way
'Tis best the code
Judge not your fellow
Man's condition
Until you've been
In his position

Note: The first four lines of this poem form the motto of one of my Manx family ancestral lines. The motto dates from the 1600s I believe
IN OPENING MYSELF
In opening myself unto guidance
I relinquish the need for control
This future is now deep within me
The step that I take to be whole
This need to let go it doth scare me
Yet I know that the need it is there
For to continue the way that I have been
Will see me continue in fear
It is Love that I wish to become like
No longer repeat all the past
I deserve more than that which I have been
I know that it's near so at last
So in open'ng myself unto guidance
In doing so I move unto new
The unknown it doth scare yet excite me
So now for the wonderful view
In opening myself unto guidance
I relinquish the need for control
The future is so deep within me
This step that I take to be whole

THE BRIDGE ACROSS FOREVER
The bridge across forever
The road to paradise
From where I am I place my feet
Intent to realise
This bridge is there for me to cross
Yet as I take each step
I look each way, enjoy the view
And getting more adept
With each forward move I make
But tentative at first
Yet soon I move with confidence
To overcome my thirst
I yearn to see the other side
The land of Ever-Ever
My steps become so full of bounce
My smile denotes the weather
For there I'm told the sun doth shine
All day and through the night
The time is now, that's all there is
There's nothing but the light
The beauty of this Everland
There's nothing to succeed it
All of life it lives as one
And nothing supercedes it.
My steps get quicker as I cross
The bridge to paradise
I soon start running when I see
The joy before my eyes
I have arrived at last across
This bridge across forever
The walk, the run was worth each step
To get to Ever-Ever

EXPRESSING COMPASSION
We each have our way
Of expressing compassion
Some light a candle
As that is their fashion
Others they pray
And some meditate
As this is the way
For them to relate
Some express sadness
Pain and deep grief
For some it is anguish
This is their relief
Some hold the light
Each has their view
They look deep within
To find a new view
There are many ways
To view life on earth
As life does unfold
Towards the new birth
Along with compassion
Their goes understanding
That love is the answer
And this is the branding
There's no time for judgement
This adds to the pain
Let's all come together
As to not do, no gain
Compassion is patience
And brotherly love
Together in union
The peace of the dove

OUR STORY ABUNDANCE
If poverty be his story
Then wealth must be her story
That being so
Then there's one way to go
The truth therefore is
Let's get past the fizz
The idea is sharing
The process then caring
So no more redundance
Our story abundance

IN TIMES OF UNKNOWN
In times of unknown and uncertainty
It's time to go play in the sand
Build castles of love in the air
Make chains from the flowers of the land
In times of unknown and uncertainty
It's time to go swing on a swing
To skip and to dance like a child
And do joyously wonderful things
In times of unknown and uncertainty
It's time to have strawberries and cream
Fly kites and ride trains and white horses
Live, laugh and love like a dream
In times of unknown and uncertainty
By the light we are always surrounded
It's important to live in the light friends
This way is the darkness confounded
In times of unknown and uncertainty
It's time to be happy and bright
Regardless of all that is happening
There's no other way but the light
In times of unknown and uncertainty
The bells they do ring out their chimes
A'calling us all to our homesteads
For within them we find the right clime
In times of unknown and uncertainty
The homestead is always the heart
For there we doth find our true being
Its always been there from the start
In times of unknown and uncertainty
No more looking out but within
For there one does find true security
True freedom and peace it doth bring
In times of unknown and uncertainty
It's time to go play in the sand
Build castles of love in the air and
Make chains from the flowers of the land

HOLDING THE LIGHT
Let us hold the light my friends
Be as shining stars my friends
Focus on the good my friends
Ring the world with peace
Let us hold the light my friends
Be the golden sun my friends
Focus on the love my friends
Ring the world with peace
Let us hold the light my friends
Be the candle flame my friends
Focus on the heart my friends
Ring the world with peace
Let us hold the light my friends
Be the stable flow my friends
Focus on the one my friends
Ring the world with peace

Inner dependence
Results in transcendence
Life then is victory
The past now is history
The moment is now
Result being wow

NEW BIRTH DAY
A new birth day
Each day we rise
Higher to view
Each moments hue
Of magic and mystery
New birth day ends
Then...
A new birth night
Each night we rise
Higher to view
Each moments hue
Of magic and mystery
New birth night ends
Then...
Life spirals anew
Forever, infinitely
Expressing itself in
New birth days and nights

BEYOND DEPENDENCY
Earthly life it sees us
Outside ourself depend
Many things control us
No freedom this does send
Sex or drugs, dependent love
Alcohol or tea
Coffee, work or food as well
'Tis not reality
Go within to meet your Love
A wondrous change to make
All one's questions answered
It's trust, that's all it takes
Soulful magic manifests
And life becomes a joy
The midas touch is our's
At last we are the 'roi'
Esteem of self, dependent not
No other stakes a claim
Realising worthiness
Love and life remain
At last, at last one is one's Self
Beyond dependency
Full acceptance manifests
This is transcendency

REGENERATING
Now regenerating
Time for penetrating
Within while meditating
At times am levitating
Reflecting on relating
Parts of me purgating
No longer need inflating
Time for celebrating
Once procrastinating
At times too, vascilating
For now it's validating
I find this fascinating
So now it's restorating
In part resuscitating
No more speculating
So now regenerating

ADDICTION
Addiction is dependency
On other than ourself
Of sex or drugs or alcohol
Or food upon the shelf
Or love that is conditional
Or coffee, tea or milk
No matter the dependency
Outside's not made of silk
The Truth of life it is within
Forget the need without
We're whole, complete and perfect
God's image there's no doubt
So why the need to search "out there"
Let's give "within" a chance
And in the process let us be
The image as the dance
The challenge then becomes for us
To move beyond control
And let the Love of God become
The mover of our soul
"I cannot do a thing of self"
Or some such words were said
Instead just let the Love of God
Move through us so instead
So letting Love love through us
And peace do likewise too
The joy of the Creator
Will flow as like to you
A chariot of fire we are
To burn away the dross
As such we're here to realise
Our self beyond the "Cross"
At One with Truth that is within
Ascend beyond and be
In doing so we then become
The Truth that sets us free
The Source of life is in our heart
Let's live eternally
Forget dependence of without
Live life as meant to be
Let's be as Love and Joy and Peace
This is our true reflection
No longer be dependent but
Instead the resurrection.

A NEW DAY
The dawn past
Transformed
A new night of
Moonlit beauty
Stars shining
Calm serenity
Silvery hue on
Indigo palatte
A gentle aura
Of shadowy
Wonderment
Milky Way mist
Magic unknown
Newness of
Wide-eyed
Expectancy
Unsurpassed
The freedom of
A New Day

THE CONUNDRUM OF OPPOSITES
In light there is a darkness
In darkness there is light
A beautiful conundrum
In which we shine so bright
In switching on this joyous light
All clarity appears
In turning off this light again
Unknown does challenge fears
The principle is wonderful
Duality exists
We need to learn from opposites
Till middle road persists
'Tis like the railway tracks upon
The train of life does travel
There are two lines to move along
As life it does unravel
There comes a time to realise
That pendulums do cause
Imbalance, insecurity
'Tis then the time to pause
So stand between the railway tracks
In distance they do meet
'Tis time to let perspective come
Right there upon our feet
With time to watch we realise
This is the middle road
Between the railway tracks there is
A joyous 'lectric mode
The monorail becomes the way
That life for now to live
No longer be a pendulum
But time for now to give
In balance nothing penetrates
Unless our guard is down
Return to point of centre
Then no longer ups and downs
While moving in the dark unknown
We always move to light
It is a growing principle
That always gains our sight
So now let's see the dark as light
No longer let's be fraught
Negativity, fears sublime
They do all come to nought
With light and love we move beyond
The wheel of life and death
To living life eternal now
Ascension it is best
We are the overcomers
The victors born to be
No longer living life as death
The state now victory
For now with understanding
Love and peace exist
The middle road of victory
That's all that needs persist

IN UNITY
Softly, softly
Turn the key
Hold the heart
So tenderly
Love abounds
Within the soul
Pouring light
Upon the whole
A gentle touch
A graceful smile
It's all apart
Of this sweet while
The glory of
A joyful heart
Is being whole
Not split apart
So softly, gently
Let's now be
A loving One
In unity.

THE VICTORS WE ARE
Victor or victim
A choice for us all
Feel sorry for self
Or rise to the call
A history of victim
No longer is needed
For victory is our's
It's time it was heeded
'Tis now for us each
To be what we are
A race lived as victors
So come, be a star.

SACRED FEMININE
Sacred feminine
Mystical goddess
The holy grail in all
No longer denied
Rising once again
Star shining brightly
Beauty unbounded, free
Honoured and respected
Accepted fully to being
Understood at last that
True peace, love and joy
Allows the sacred goddess
To be fully present, now

DOVE OF LOVE
Loving softly in
Sweet light serene
And tranquil coolness
Yet a bursting of joy
Buoyant in knowing
As love finds the way -
Freely expressing
Itself as eternal now
Secure in kindly being
A sweet dove singing
With softness touching
The soul; stroking
With tenderness,
Uplifting, encouraging
the beloved union of
Soul with self as one
A peace never before
But now is the calm
Reality of being
The dove of love.

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE
The Love of my life
Is the love within
' Tis time to bring
It forth; no more
Denial; dependence
On outer reflection
'Cos all is within
No more turning
My back - instead
Face the view of
Magnificent beauty
Of inner reflection
In full acceptance
Reaching within
Dwelling in the Love
That has always
Been mine but only
Now acknowledged
My Beloved within.

LOVE'S TWO ASPECTS
The father co-creates then
Loves from afar - farther
Providing safe havens
The mother co-creates then
Loves closely - reverently
Nourishing and nurturing
Two aspects of love balanced
Parenting the growing soul
A love detached yet caring
A love so close, bonded
Love's beauty in harmony

MOVING IN STILLNESS
Still moving or moving still
In the process of being
Silent, listening, in solitude
We are moving; a conundrum
Yet all is energy, moving
We are moved. Have we moved?
Emotion.... energy in motion
In stlllness all is movement
Flowing, giving, receiving,
Sharing, caring, loving, being
Changing, exchanging, movement
Abundance, a bun dance.....
Dancing - moving, flowing
Gracefully moving or
Granite rock - moving rigidly
Stammering, stuttering
Hesitantly, cautiously
Some seen, some not
Some experienced, some not.
Consciousness awareness
Fully present, knowing
Ease of movement; or pushed
Flowing for choice is mine
As water - spring to ocean
Ease of movement, wearing rocks
Flowing through and round
All; to ocean of fullness
Fermenting the yeast of life
Expanding fully and wholly
The bread of life rising high
Ascending perfectly whole
Moving through and beyond
Easily to stillness; letting go
Moving in stillness to One
The journey of life complete.

LIVING IN SILENCE
What does it mean to live in silence?
Does it really mean to withdraw
And be a hermit alone and still?
Somehow I think not, yet not
Devaluing the beauty of solitude
I wonder if a balance is meant.
True silence is perhaps being able
To be still, silent and serene
Amid all the noise of daily living
An inner calmness, stillness, peace
Achieved through self awareness
Of being conscious of one's responses
Transitioning from the old to the new
In a creative way and in doing such
One becomes challenged with seeking
Space and solitude to connect with
Inner guidance; the inner sense
Of being connected to the true self
And in this state one can walk tall
In truth and being calm and still
While all else is in chaos around
Silence - a state of being;
A way of living... while all else
Continues on around. Is this not
The truth of being in the world
And not of it? Silence supreme.

THE OLIVE BRANCH
An olive branch seems to be
Shaping a beauty of peace
In our world of hope and love
Extending hands and limbs
Beyond borders and boundaries
Uplifting in the process of
Carrying with it a message
That all is becoming more
And more as it can and could
Peace, that effervescent flame
Of hope that understanding
Is at last getting messaged
Everywhere, within and without
Providing a picture of smiles
In the hearts and minds
Of all souls knowing that
Caring and sharing of love
Brings a ray of contentment
Serenity and calmness and
Respect and honour of all
Including self pervades
The olive branch of peace

THE POWER OF INNOCENCE
The child-like ways returning
Back upon the earth
No longer wars and suffering
Instead it's joy and mirth
We have the power of innocence
Of playful hearts and minds
To bring us all together
No more to be unkind
The little child aplaying
Her presence here and now
Innocence and inner sense
Completely in the know
He cares for nought except for joy
And happy playfulness
Entranced in all the magic
To him this is success
A joyful light is in her eyes
A playful heart as well
She sees her inner child
Emerging from its shell
'Tis now the time for happiness
For seriousness is past
The joy it leads to life supreme
And this will surely last
The time for play, the time for joy
All else no longer yearns
In innocence and happiness
The flower of life is born
At last we see this way of life
Sustains us all forever
As we smile and laugh in fun
It brings us ll together
Eternal joy and zest for life
A vibrance long remembered
A summer lived in wondrous joy
Will take us to September
No more concerns for life provides
All our wants and needs
The freedom then is living well
No longer any greeds
The lily and the rose do show
That beauty is in being
Love and joy and playfulness
Come naturally to seeing
Forget the need to work at life
Become instead the rose
Just be and in the knowing
Then dance on joyful toes
In innocence and inner sense
Is one and presence found
A power of being as one is
And all is safe and sound
A playful heart, a joyful mind
A harp of music wonder
Angellic beauty, light and love
Breaks all the veils asunder

MANY PERCEPTIONS
It can be said
That all is perception
How we see the truth
What is right for me
May not be for you;
Consider this:
I think therefore I am
Or - I am therefore I think
Maybe - All there is, I am
Or - I am all there is
Perhaps -I am therefore you are
Or - Your are therefore I am
Then - I am or Your are
The sum total of
My or Your thoughts
Or -My or Your thoughts
Are the sum total of me or you
Even - All is One, al-one
Or - One is All, all-one
So where does this leave us
On the journey of truth?
Right where we are as
All just is as it is; any moment
Any time, any how, anyway
In being who or what we are
And allowing others
The same privilege
No judgment, no comment
Just loving acceptance
Of self and others being
As you and they are
Yet with understanding
That all is well and
As it should be;
No need to change the world
That is happening anyway
As is our own world
No need to do, just be in
A happy knowing that
All is well. All just is
Freely being without doing
All is all. That is all.

PATIENCE - LET IT BE
What is patience?
Patience is waiting
Allowing, giving
Accepting, observing
Watching as life happens.
Solitude; on one's own
Being together separately
At one with oneself
Yet with all else together
Patience is allowing life
To progress as and when
Flowing with the river
Not against the tide
So, what is it with patience
That it causes so much strife?
Why is it that we allow
Others to bother, concern
Burn us deep inside?
In truth there is nothing
That needs concern us
None of our business in fact
Except how it reflects upon
Us as ourselves mirrored
Patience - allow things to be
All is well after all; nothing
Need be different than it is
Why then do we concern
Ourselves with making it
To be as we want it to be?
Comfort zones perhaps?
Not wanting to change?
Patience, let it be
So said the Beatles
Very wise words....
Let it be, let it be
Patience. All is well.

THE INNER VIEW
The camera takes an inner shot
Of love upon the heart
And then it turns and sees another
View, so then it starts
It snaps the soul in joy, and then
The inner child at play
It sees so many wondrous views
It then decides to stay
The inner view, a lovely sight
E'er worth the film exposed
A careful focus, then a click
Another pic reposed
The inner view so beautiful
So worthy of record
The inner smile, a heart of love
Whoever would be bored
By photos joyful, peaceful scenes
Of inner beauty taken
No longer hidden, now out there
Whoever would be shaken
The scenes of inner wonder are
A timely sight to see
The inner eye recording all
As it should really be
So let the camera record all
Posterity of past
The now for to the future comes
Its time to have at last
The video cam recording
A published landscape view
Of inner mysteries now becoming
Known to all so true
The camera takes an inner shot
For all eternity
To see it all - a life of love
And grace and dignity.

A LOVE LETTER
Dear One,
I love you…
Life is a journey which when shared with another of like mind is a splendid and blissful experience. The heart of the matter is love, and that is the expansive essence within us all which when shared can explode into all the wonders of the mystical, the omnipotence, the glory, the beauty – heaven (or haven) on earth, so to speak…….
Heaven is what we have when we let go of all restrictions and in gay abandonment live in the moment of ecstasy. We can explode in its fullness and experience or we can pull back and remain in the limitations of the old… why do we do that? Fear perhaps, desirous of staying in our comfort zones, wanting to be not seen to be different.
But pushing limited boundaries aside brings us to the innocence and purity of all there is within each of us. We must continue to push, to explore, to experience, to feel, to love all there is in its entirety to the ends of the earth and beyond.
Feelings are the powerful vehicle which allow us to “go for it”, to be our most beautiful selves, to see for ourselves the beauty in another, the sharing of what we are and who we are and in doing so, letting the explosion of life be experienced in the oneness of sacred union, with life, with self, with each other.
Feelings are the moment of truth; they can be so pure and potentially overwhelming. The warmth, tenderness, caring and sharing are all part of the expansive mood. It can fairly be said that neither have been here before and that could cause fear, enough to want not to go further…. But why not… further and yonder and farther and future all in the moment. Oh such pleasure if only we have trust in each one to go the whole journey.
Trust is the security blanket which protects us with a knowingness that all is well despite appearances which may attempt to say otherwise. It envelopes one like the arms of a loved one who graces one with the surety of peace, of contentment, of knowing that all is well.
All is love and in that there is only one course and that is of course more love. A bursting heart and soul is desirous of sharing this love in an outward expression of sacred physical union, and all that that permits.
Distance is eliminated by the sharing of minds and hearts and the communication through these vehicles the perfection of the other, as well as acknowledging the perceived imperfections also. In these perceived imperfections is the opportunity to learn to accept the other but also to see the gift presented to honour one’s own beauty being expressed in mirror fashion.
Oh the glory and the gift that is being experienced at this moment. I give thanks with every cell of my being for such a heavenly opportunity, the love, the joy, the beauty, the warmth, the laughter, the happiness… all part of a wonderful journey of love and life.
I ask the other to be blessed by what is happening. God only knows where the road may lead….. home perhaps… but what is home anyway?
Home is a state of mind, of heart, of soul, of love. It is the ultimate expression of contentment, happiness… it is where the heart is. So home is more than a physical structure. And the ultimate home is where two become one. So sacred is that it is mind blowing, it is powerful, it is …….all there is…….
Let the blessing of the true home bless each one in this journey of oneness. Home sweet home.
Again I give thanks from all of my being to all of yours
In sweetness and joy and love
I am,
Yours.

BE MORE, DO LESS
In doing less we can be more
Than we have ever been before
In being more we can do much
More, by letting all be as such
In being, we do nothing but be
Ourselves, as we are meant to be
In doing nothing we allow the flow
Of life to happen; thus all to know
Becomes ours; then comes
A life of peace and joy - succumb
As within, above and below
We have ability to show
A human being doing nought
But being; no longer fraught
Instead, an easy flow accepting
All just is, no more expecting
Be more then; do less
Then comes to all success
Of life lived in being
Doing then is seeing
There is nothing needed
To do; all has succeeded
By being done already
All then is ever steady
Do less then, be more
Than you have ever been before

COMPLETION
Complete what you start
I always was told
Yet as I got older
When truth did unfold
For me did I realise
The truth that I was
Already complete
So no more "because"
The process becomes
For me to actualise
In memory and form
The truth to realise
So therefore we find
The actions performed
In the physical life
Are to see us reformed
It matters then not
If one moves around
From this and to that
It's the experience found
In the journey of life
One is here for to be
All that there is
And all there's to see
Already complete
There's nothing to do
But to have lots of fun
So why the "boo-hoo"?
In lightening up
Much better is life
In seeing the joy
We forget all the strife
No more to be serious
No more for to worry
It's right for me now
To not be in a hurry
No more then to please
Anyone else
But to be all I am
And to please myself
So let's all see life
As a game to be played
Just a few general rules
But be not dismayed
Treat friends as yourself
Be gentle and kind
Love him or her
It's nice then to find
With kindness is felt
Much more worthiness
A lightness of heart
And much happiness
In being complete
You then realise
That everyone else
Is also likewise
So life then becomes
Potentially fun
In all that we do
No more need to run
We find ourself able
To walk and to talk
To smile and to laugh
And play with the chalk
To draw lots of pictures
To paint and to smell
The roses of life
It's heaven not hell
No more need to worry
No need to be right
It's awesome and wonder
And lots of white light
Peace and perfection
Paradise too
In being complete
To be me and you
So ignore the request
To complete what you start
Just let life evolve
As one plays the part.

THE SUN’S RAYS
The sun’s rays
Illuminating the world
Lighting the universe
Of my soul, my heart
Which pours forth to all
A calm, serene, tranquility
Of light and love, peace and joy
Wholeness; complete perfection
Enlightened understanding
Warm in knowledge
That all is embraced
In harmony, oneness,
The sun’s rays
Rays of hope, of warmth
Illumination bringing light
To all open to receive
Illuminating the world
Lighting the universe
Of my soul, my heart
Which pours forth to all
Light and love, peace and joy
To each a new day, a new now

NO EXPECTATIONS, NO OBLIGATIONS
No expectations,
And no obligations
Except to myself,
Come what may
To walk what one talks
And to talk what one walks
Is surely my issue, I say.
To share through example
Whatever one learns
It’s ever important
It is -
But then one discovers
That under the covers
There is so much more to this
The journey continues
Evolving and learning
And taking on board
What is true
For me and me only
May not be for you
The choices are over to you.
In being responsible
For me and me only
Through trial and error
I move
Forward and onward
Upward and outward
Expanding with view to evolve.
I stand back in honour
That you can do likewise
Yourself be the best one
You can
For you to so learn
That your journey is your’s
Then you too can so surely expand.
So no expectations,
And no obligations
Except to myself,
Come what may
To walk what one talks
And to talk what one walks
Is surely my issue, I say.

I AM WHO I AM
Regardless of what
Others expect
I am who I am
Like it or not
That is the way it is
I am who I am
Others have spent their lives
Telling me who I should be
In their desire for comfort
They demand I be
This or that
NO…….
No more do I follow
But instead I am
Who I am
No obligation
Nor expectation
I do not conform
To be other
Than who I am
Do you like it?
It bothers me not.
That’s the way it is folks.
I am who I am.

HONOUR
With glory I honour thee
With love do I grace
For all life I thank thee
Your love fills my space
I value you truly
Appreciate your way
Your strength and your beauty
The words that you say.
To be who you are
To know that you share
Yourself with me dearly
You really do care
A wonderful friend
I honour thee true
To have and to hold
All of life through
You’re with me each moment
Through life as I walk
You are my best friend
It’s with you that I talk
I confide you my heart
I share you my being
To you every moment
You are in my seeing
I respect your opinion
I value your mind
You ever give hope
To me in like kind
You’re ME, my best friend
I honour thee true
No more can I say
But how much I love you.

We laugh – it’s a miracle
We love – it’s a miracle
We cry – it’s a miracle
We talk – it’s a miracle
We think – it’s a miracle

A TRILOGY OF POEMS
THE METRONOME
The metronome swings back and forth
Rhythmically; anchored firmly at base
Measuring time clock-like, beat after beat,
Serious in demeanour, marching forward
Intentions definite, orderly
And with purpose.
THE SWING
The child swings gaily
Back and forth, smiling
Laughter and joy - happiness supreme
A freedom of flying on high
The swing, anchored from above
Flows with flexibility
A rhythm in perpetuity
THE ANCHOR
From above the anchor is set free
Searching for stability
In base rock.

THE FREEDOM OF FLIGHT
The freedom of flight
Explored in all its glory
By one so pioneering as
Jonathan Livingston Seagull
Speed, exploration, newness,
Joy, enthusiasm, thrills,
Then excommunication
From the group
Self-imposed or otherwise -
For being different,
For being one's self,
Who cares, does it really matter?
The most important thing is...
To fly free, to be oneself...
In time there is a returning
It is important to get this right..
Synchronicity.....
When one will chose to share
The freedom of the love
The learning, the caring,
The beauty, the sharing,
Of all that one has learnt..
From being different,
From being one's Self
From flying free.
Now is the time
To fly free..
To be free..
To be.

INSPIRATION
From where comes inspiration?
From everywhere
Above, below, within
Here and there.
Life - breathed at birth
In rhythmic beat
It pulses in harmony
Never a defeat.
Each moment creates
With awareness
Or not – understood
As consciousness.
Inspired choices made
Decisions too
Become the next moment
To live through.
The flickering flame
Within, it burns
To reach a fullness
It ever yearns.
Spirit, holy and sacred
The still small voice
Teaches, guides us
Yet gives us choice.
Breathing, in then out
Spirit of inspiration
Wisdom shared
As realization.

FLYING FREE
Over the waves of yonder sea
My bonnie’s there waiting for me
