Poems of a light-hearted, fun and fantasy nature.
THE ASCENSION OF RUPERT BEAR
Rupert woke up today
aware of his true nature
and being fully enlightened
he ascended into the magic of life
beyond the past and future
into the here and now
a constant yet ever-changing image
and forever the patron saint
of child-like joy and laughter
and in his christ-like awareness
resurrected he is -
his love rippling out to all
aware that his shining light
ever cosmically expanding
as the infinite unlimitedness
of All There Is
One, supremely and naturally
being Rupert Bear, IAM

CLOUDED LOVE
Two heart-shaped clouds
so cute were they
all coy and shy
but come what may
as sailing through
the jet-stream high
on zephyr winds
they each did sigh
if only they could
be as one
as love did call
since time begun
and sure enough
the wind grew strong
these little clouds
they flew along
in skies on high
they soon did find
their wish come true
for from behind
the wind did merge
these two lovebirds
and from their heart
one heard these words
"oh little cloud
I see we're one
our heart-felt love
since time begun
has given us
our hearts' desire
to be as one -
a heart of fire"
much bigger now
for two as one
a loving cloud
beneath the sun

DISK CLEANSE
Let's clean up our hard drive
And make room for peace
Remove all the past files
Let love now release
Let's cleanse to the heart
And thoughts let's make pure
A regular disk cleanse
There's nothing more truer
Remove all the cookies
And temporary files
More space on one's hard drive
For filling with smiles
After a disk cleanse
A scan disk now run
Repairs damaged feelings
New life now begun
Following a scan disk
A defrag's now right
Restoring one's hard drive
To perfect delight
No files of the future
The past cleansed away
The present so joyful
A wondrous day
Keep running the scan disk
And disk cleanser too
Finish with defrag
Maintain pure you

BUILDING CASTLES
Building castles
In the air
Brings joy to hearts,
Dispels despair
Dreaming dreams
And scheming schemes
Keeps life alive
Indeed repairs
Continue building
Day by day
Until the dreams
Are on display
Forward moving
Ever grooving
Dancing ever
Come what may
Whatever dream
Is on your heart
Never let
From you it part
Love yourself
The magic elf
Creating life
A joyful art
Hope's what keeps
The dream alive
Anticipation
Always strive
Persevere
Always steer
New day dawns
At last arrived
Building castles
In the air
Brings joy to hearts,
Dispels despair
Dreaming dreams
And scheming schemes
Keeps life alive
Indeed repairs

SIT BACK, RELAX
Sit back, relax
Enjoy the ride
Let fun be had
No longer hide
Lots of loving
Lots of laughs
Lets be happy
On all behalf
The ride of life
Can be a pain
But with a smile
Let's love again
Choice is there
For all to see
Childlike joy
Reality
Relax and be
A smiling fount
Go run and jump
Or climb a mount
No matter how
You feel inside
Sit back, relax
Enjoy the ride

SHORTCUT TO TEMPORARY FILES
There is on my desktop an icon
Which purges and cleanses machines
A shortcut to temporary files
This worker it gleans as it cleans
Like memories of past that are filed
Some forgotten o'er passage of time
Concern then for loss of our memories?
Please don't be, the present's sublime !
For into the present we're coming
Kicking and screaming we are
'Cos to be in a state of All Oneness
The past is forgotten by far
Our icon to temporary files
Is really the switch to forgive
Forget and then to release
We then find the process to live
No worries the loss of our memory
This process it brings us to Now
As we live more and more in the present
The obsolete past we less know
So the shortcut to temporary files
Symbolic of purging the mind
Of past to make room for the present
So click, cleanse the past, now can't find
So smile at this realisation
For moving on into the Now
One sees that the present is real
And to boot there is magic and how
A smile and a wave at the memories
Is therapy good but don't hold
But click on the icon to cleanse you
Then as memories leave so be bold
The past is so full of nostalgia
Yet present is better by far
The shortcut to temporary files
So click, cleanse the past, now you are

AN ODE TO SLOW
Slow, slow, slow
This is the way to go
The hare he found
The tortoise round
Did win the race, ho-ho
Slow, slow, slow
The rising sun does glow
It smiles all day
And shows the way
Across the sky does go
Slow, slow, slow
The river it does flow
From source to sea
No need to flee
So like the river, flow
Slow, slow, slow
The gentle breeze does blow
Its whispers care
Indeed do share
The mood of gentle flow
Slow, slow, slow
The silence of the snow
The carpet white
Is pure and bright
Wisdom in the know

A FISH
How would you feel
If a fish you were real
A swimmer of life you would be
You'd slip and you'd slide
You'd flip and you'd glide
As you found your way down to the sea
Then comes the day
When come what may
Checking out life in the deep
I am sure you would find
Some more of like kind
And together you'd play hide and peep
The life as a fish
Would become quite a dish
If not careful you'd get caught on a hook
And be covered in batter
In the deep fryer splatter
See the glee in the eye of the cook
Instead you could try
To learn how to fly
For I know that this can be done
Mariner's do share
Their stories with flare
Of flying fish enjoying such fun
So fish have a life
With a mixture of strife
For they are the prey of the shark
Yet to be in the depths
One can become quite adept
And swimming can be such a lark
A fish can be happy
So come on my chappie(s)
Enjoy the view from the fish
The deeper you go
The view it doth show
You can flow as ever you wish

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
On a wing and a prayer we arrive
Sweet babes in Mum's arms we're alive
The day of our birth
Is our entrance to earth
From then to the end we do strive
But then who said life was a breeze?
It should be I think as I sneeze
Another year passes
Should be wearing glasses
Good gracious, I'll take life with ease
A birthday is just round the bend
I'm certainly not near the end
There's still so much fun
To be had on the run
No more will I live to pretend
I'm happy and joyfully me
I'm here so all can now see
I'm now gonna celebrate
As life is just first rate
The rest of my birthdays are free
So folks let's mature with grace
Let's be kind in each other's face
The years as they go
Get faster not slow
A birthday each day - it is ace !

BUTTERFLY CHASE
![]()
Butterfly chase - so tempting
Enjoyable time pre-empting
A time when we realise
The need for to actualise
The butterfly's wings
Within us which sing
Music's sweet touch
Gentleness such
The chase - 'tis now over
I'm ever in clover
A'fluttering there
And everywhere

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
Childlike memories of magical moments
Gold pots at rainbow's end
Imagined place of unlimitedness
Is the rainbow only pretend?
A magic land of lullabies
Across this mystical way
Beyond the clouds dreams come true
Let's wake up to another day.
Colourful bridge of beautiful light
Red and yellow and blue
Climbs up, over and down again
Giving a glorious hue.
Indigo, violet, orange and green
Sparkling joyful essence
Spreading reflection everywhere
Beautiful effervescence.
Bridge of wonder on which to walk
Climbing such great heights
Where one has never been before
A place of golden lights.
Atop the rainbow bridge one finds
A joy that one can't hide
Like birds of flight,freedom bound
To see the other side.
No longer clouds but rainbow hue
Forever shining sun
No trouble in this magic land
So cross the bridge for fun
A child's delight, a rainbow bridge
Brings joy a bubbling over
Lets walk the bridge to Neverland
To find the four leaf clover.

THE JETSKI IN THE SKY
What fun and laughter there is for me
To ride the waves of space
On my jetski so fast up there in the sky
It's such a wonderful place
I see everything as I zoom on by
The earth, the planets, the stars,
Goodness, I see such a beautiful site
Of the glorious planet of Mars
The daylight rides up there in space
Are also such great fun
For there beside me all the way
Is the warmth of the shining sun.
The jetski takes me everywhere
There is nothing at all between us
But Jupiter, Neptune, Earth and Moon
And the beautiful planet of Venus
I zip and zap each place I go
With wonderful ribbons of love
Green stars here and blue ones there
So joyous when viewed from above
A smile on my face as I ride the waves
As each night turns to day
More zipping and zapping of love I share
Throughout the Milky Way
My jetski and I have a wonderful time
Enjoying the beauty of space
The beautiful stars all shining bright
Its such a wonderful place.
I play and I sing as I ride along
Going from here to there
Zooming as far as I can go
With never a blooming care.
Like a child on the wing I enjoy the flight
Which my jetski so joyously gives
I laugh out loud with a joyous ring
My heart so light that it lives.
Up there in the sky each night and day
I zoom around on my ski
The playground of space so happily
Is such a wonder to me.

THE ROCK AT THE SLOC
I went to the Sloc and sat on a rock
To view the Mountains of Mourne
As I looked over a four-leafed clover
Looked back at me so forlorn.
"What's wrong dear clover, why do you look over
At me with your face so forlorn
You're sitting right under a beautiful wonder
That are the Mountains of Mourne."
The clover all green, its envy was seen
At me sitting there on my rock
"Can I come over," said the four-leafed clover,
"And join you up there at the Sloc."
"You're welcome dear clover to come on over
And join me up here on my rock"
So over he came, no need of a plane
And together we were at the Sloc.
"Whenever I can I'll come over to Mann
And meet you up here at the Sloc.
Together we'll view the heavenly hue
Of the Mountains of Mourne from your rock."
It came time for clover to return back over
To the Mountains of Mourne whence he came
As I sat on my rock down there at the Sloc
In deepest of thought came the rain.
My time at the Sloc, up there on my rock
Was fun, yet I'm not deluded
I must leave my rock, down here at the Sloc
My day in the open concluded.
c) Elizabeth A Feisst 3 April 2005
Brief Explanation: The Sloc is near a coastal footpath on the south-west coast of the Isle of Man where I live, from which one can, on a fine day, view Ireland. The Mountains of Mourne are on the north-east coast of Northern Ireland.
LAUGHLIN
Laughlin is
A friend so dear,
So many times
I feel him near
Yet oft I do
Not notice him
For much I do
Out on a limb
It's time I give
To him his dues
He is such fun
He has the clues
To make my life
So full of fun
He is within
He's like the sun.
I set him free
To pave the way
For lots of laughs
Throughout the day
He is so light
He is such joy
He is my friend
To him, ahoy
Together we go
Upon our path
To share our joy
To share a laugh
There's jokes, there's pranks
There's simple pleasure
So many ways
Enjoying leisure.
Laughing, singing
Having fun
Laughlin is
So like the sun
Warm and happy
Joyous too
Free to give
Such fun to you.
