Friends play an important part in everyone's life...(often more important than family to some)..... and their value is worth honouring. Perhaps one's greatest friend is one's self, with whom we live 24/7.
Also worthy is the consideration of the true meaning of friendship........

FRIENDS
It's time to consider
the value of friends
each one a pearl
who never pretends
Friends are the gems
formed from the earth
like diamonds and crystals
of value and worth
Friends are the flowers
which bloom in the spring
friends are the stems
on which flowers sing
Friends are the summer sun
golden and warm
and breathing its softness
and wishing no harm
Friends are the autumn leaves
which drift as they fall
they come and they go
yet friends one and all
Friends are the winter fire
when outside is cold
they're there on the inside
to hug and to hold
Friends are the jewels
in the crown which you wear
friends are the crown
which sits on your hair
Friends are like family
much love they deserve
not taken for granted
they need much preserve
To each one I thank you
you know who you are
I value your caring
each one you're a star

ONE'S GREATEST FRIEND
Inspired by:
"Greater love has no man than this; that a man lay down his life for his friend/s"
John 15:13
One's greatest Friend
with whom one lives
all day and night-time too
is living in
the deepest space
so deep inside of you
This Friend it's time
to come to know
and love with perfect joy
this spark divine
the Friend that flames
all life that's to enjoy
In giving up
one's life, you know
the perfect thing to do
for doing so
will lead you to
the perfect, real You
So lay before
this perfect You
your love and life supreme
for that will be
your greatest choice
and lead you to your dream
For paradise
it is within
and everywhere you view
what greater way
to live one's life
than with the greatest You
Surrendered to
your greatest Friend
a wondrous way to be
the real You
is free to be
with greatest liberty
In perfect peace
and harmony
at one with your dear Friend
as Alpha and Omega
the beginning
and the end
